On June 7, 1954, Bishop Francis Carroll established St. Pius X Parish in the northwest of Calgary, from the west side of St. Joseph’s Parish, in honour of the pope who founded the Diocese. Present-day parishioners invite all former parishioners and friends to celebrate the 70th Anniversary Banquet on Fri, Nov 8, 2024, at 5 pm at Winsport/Canada Olympic Park.
