Prayer for a Safe and Blessed Return to School

Suggested as an individual or collective prayer during September;
or as a nine-day novena followed by the Rosary.

As members of the Catholic Women’s League, we are called to advocate for publicly funded Catholic education to ensure that future generations of children can experience the love of God throughout their schooling.

Alberta, Saskatchewan, and Ontario are the only provinces in Canada that offer publicly funded Catholic education

Let us unite in prayer that our Blessed Mother Mary will intercede for our students, families, educators, staff – and Catholic education throughout the province.

Let us pray:

In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit.

God, we thank You for the new school year.
Bless and keep safe all those who are returning to school,
whether it be to our buildings or through online learning.

We pray that You will guide our staff always in the daily work they do,
and that your will  be done.

We ask this in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen
